Hi! I’m Sapna, I’ve been working in place consultancy since 2010. My approach balances technical rigour with an appreciation of local customs and preferences in order to identify solutions that fit the spaces and the people they serve.
My work draws from my academic training in engineering and ecology and my work experience with artists, cultural mediators and behavioural psychologists, among others. I hold an MEng from Imperial College London, and a PhD in Mathematical Ecology from the Université Côte d'Azur in the South of France.
In France, I developed my first placemaking project for an international community of researchers. In the UK, I honed skills in movement planning, Big Data analysis, and wayfinding at Movement Strategies, OnePlan Events, and Applied Information Group, among others. Working with architects, creatives and real estate businesses, I have developed an approach over the years that is thorough, intuitive and makes operational sense.
The common thread since 2010 has been a resolute focus on the human experience of space and our relationship to place.
